With over 100 years of baking experience and now four generations later, U-Bake Ltd & McDaid’s Bakery are still committed to producing the best quality bakery products possible for our customers and our local community. We are proud to be continuing in the tradition started by Jim McDaid when he first set up the bakery in 1916.

U-Bake Ltd / McDaid’s Bakery is a medium sized, local company specialising in the manufacture of a range of both traditional retail baked products and frozen bakery type products for the catering / retail and food service sectors throughout Ireland. In the last 30+ years we have taken our traditional bakery experience and transferred it into a unique range of quality frozen bakery products.

Our range of flavoured, high-end sausage rolls in a variety of sizes are recognised as some of the best on the market and are well loved far and wide.

U-Bake Ltd is a fourth-generation family-owned bakery formerly trading as McDaid’s Bakery now managed by John McDaid. We offer a wide product range using the finest ingredients and combined with years of experience we provide a service and capability to ensure we fulfil our customer expectations and needs. Our products meet the highest standards and are produced in our purpose built 30,000 sq. ft EU approved facility under strict HACCP guidelines.

While quality and value remain at the core of what we do we have adopted more efficient methods of production, installing the latest technology and machinery to improve productivity, maintain quality and meet growing demand. We continue to invest heavily in both new equipment, systems and people who are really at the heart of what we do.

From Jim McDaid’s bakery in 1916 to his great grandson John’s bakery in 2024, we have seen a multitude of changes in so many things. We have definitely come a long way but still we strive to maintain the standards, values and ethos established all those years ago.
